This is the only truly portable, USB-
powered scanner on the market. It
replace a Canon scanner that is USB-
powered but not half so portable.
Visioneer support is first rate,
important because initial install is
flaky. Once installed, however, the
XP100 works very well scanning business
correspondence and averages 30kb per
page creating Adobe PDF documents. For
optimal use, suggest you download and
install driver from the Visioneer
website and then purchase PaperPort 9,
which enables automatic scans in PDF
format. Overall, the XP100 a really
well-designed "on the road" business
scanner.
