Problems Solved - but not by Belkin
Review From: Jacqueline, Dec 6, 2005
First off, I am staying with Belkin. Although my experience with the Wireless Super G router happened out of the box, and the second one with the firmware, I solved my own problem and would like to educate your tech support department, who at the highest level could not solve my problem. The 3rd router received would drop wireless signal after 2 minutes consistently, but I was able to pick up my 3 neighbors' wireless networks without a problem. I telephoned Belkin today to get a level 1 tech, troubleshooted to a higher level of support. That woman must have had a bad day - very arrogant. After her stating that she would not send me another router, being nasty, I informed her that I did not want her help and hung up. I phoned again and the tech stated to contact customer service for a refund. While I was waiting, I called every neighbor on the street and found out that in close proximity to my home a neighbor had the same belkin router. Although the SSID was different the ip address of the router was the same. I thought to change my router ip config to 192.168.5.1. It has solved the problem. So maybe you could educate that high level arrogant support person I spoke with to check the ip config of the router. They are factory preset to 192.168.2.1. Who knew? Please let all techs know about this easy solution for the ip config. Sincerely, not yet giving up on Belkin products
