The first time I saw this unit I had to buy it! The funny thing was that I wasn't even in the market for a new MP3/DVD/MPEG/VCD/SVCD player, but the 3" TFT TV display on the face plate blew me away, so oh we'll about $500.00 unplanned bucks spend only 3 days after the stereo was introduced to the Houston, Texas market. As for the quality of the equipment it is excellent, now as for functionality the remote is WEAK and really hard to use especially if you have more than 100+ MP3 songs, and also all if not most of your original purchased CD's (Sam Goody's, FYE, etc) will NOT display the song/artist information, of course the MP3's will assuming you have filled in the proper MP3 song file display tags. With a receiver of this caliber I would have expected a credit card type remote not a cheap Walmart APEX DVD type remote, it is flimsy and the button are not very responsive. Also if you are used to removable face plate you need to be very careful with this one because while the old-school detachable face plate are just pull and go, this one is not it requires you to first pop the right hand side out, wait unit the unit dismounts then it can be pulled off, a bit scary at first since you laid down so much money for it, but still a GREAT Value!. All in all this is a fine unit and I forgot to mention the 4 stage tilt it awesome! I hope this review helps you make a more logical, somewhat educated choice.
