Sony has outdone itself ? again ? with this tiny version of its amazingly popular PlayStation 2. If you are a PlayStation devotee (not an Xbox junkie or a Nintendo nerd), you will adore this lightweight version of the machine you already love. The number of games available alone will just blow you away. Especially since it?s just a tiny little thing that you can take anywhere with you then hide away in a corner when needed. Another big plus: It has a network adapter built in so you can play online without extra accessories (except a phone or Ethernet connection? duh!). A lot of people have complained about how Slim gets hot because it doesn?t have a fan. This isn?t true. It has an internal fan, and I?ve played games for hours at a time with absolutely no problem. Besides, too much PS2 can be dangerous to your health! Get a life and go outside and play for a while. (Just kidding.) If you are deciding between an Xbox and the PS2, well, you already know my bias. I love the PS2. But I won?t go ballistic about Sony vs. Microsoft here. Although I will tactfully point out that the PS2 also has a CD player, which is cool. (Xbox doesn?t.) And this baby plays more games than the Xbox. And thanks to its 300mhz processor, the games load faster than ever. This slim little machine is a dream to play with. Get it and prepare yourself for some serious fun.
